TASTING NOTES Splendid, purple red colour. Complex, typical bouquet of ripe blackberry with spices (vanilla, pepper, clove). Full mouth, with vanilla aroma, rounded tannins, balanced acidity and wood tones. Long aftertaste with intense quince aroma. DESCRIPTION The Alpha Estate Axia Red is a blend of Xinomavro (50%) and Syrah (50%). Aged on its lees for seven months with regular stirring, before being matured for 12 months in 100% Allier oak casks, of medium to light toast. The wine was then aged for a further 12 months in bottle. INFORMATION DETAILS ABV: 13.5%
